Still not broadcast in France, Serie A still offers some great matches. Facing Venice in the context of the fourth day of the championship, AC Milan had fun (4-0). In the 2nd minute of play, after a superb work by Rafael Leao, Théo Hernandez beat the Venetian goalkeeper with a beautiful strike in the left corner of the goal (2nd, 1-0). This would be the start of a long series for the Rossoneri. After about fifteen minutes of play, it was Matteo Gabbia’s turn to score his goal. On a corner taken by Christian Pulisic, the defender sent a sharp strike under the bar (16th, 2-0). A few minutes later, the Milanese obtained a penalty after a foul by Jesse Joronen. Christian Pulisic left the opposing goalkeeper no chance with a strike in the right part of the goal (25th, 3-0). Half-time had still not been whistled and the Lagunari continued to take on water.
AC Milan was thus awarded a second penalty, after a foul on Leao. It was up to Tammy Abraham to convert it. Which he did brilliantly. The English striker waited for the Venice goalkeeper to dive to strike into the bottom right corner of the goal (29th, 4-0). With his four goals in less than half an hour, the Rossoneri club equaled a record that dated back to 1958. The second half was, however, calmer for the reds and blacks. After the hour mark, Francesco Zampano thought he had broken the deadlock for his team (71st) but his goal was invalidated by video assistance. A first, and important, victory in the championship for the Milanese club, which moved up to 8th place (with 5 points) after this success. Enough to erase some doubts, before the upcoming Champions League matches. For its part, Venice continues its long fall and remains bottom of Serie A at the end of the day.
