PSG – Stade Brestois: probable lineups

After the international break, Ligue 1 returned this Friday. Saint-Etienne took advantage of it to finally get a first victory this season, at the expense of a Lille team that was not exactly in the best shape. After the matches between OM and Nice, then between Monaco and Auxerre, it will be PSG’s turn to play this 4th day. The capital club hosts Stade Brestois before the two teams enter the Champions League next week. It’s a sort of dress rehearsal with the respective receptions of Girona and Sturm Graz. It will also be necessary to take care of the bodies. The selection matches have brought their share of injuries. Vitinha and Warren-Zaïre Emery are also out for this 4th day of the championship.

There is also uncertainty surrounding Donnarumma. The goalkeeper became a father for the first time on Friday and it is not yet certain that he will be able to take his place. In the event of an absence, Matvey Safonov will make his first appearance with Paris. We would then have a four-man defense with Hakimi and Nuno Mendes on the wings. The hinge would also see a small change compared to the start of the season. Marquinhos would be left to rest to allow Pacho and Beraldo to be associated, despite their trip to South America. In the middle, there will inevitably be changes with the two forfeits announced above. Neves will indeed be there, associated this time with Fabian Ruiz at low point, and probably Désiré Doué, who would be lined up in a position he knows from his years of training.

Changes in PSG’s midfield

Up front, Luis Enrique has several strings to his bow and could line up the three French internationals who were to their advantage against Italy and especially Belgium. This would ultimately not be the case according to the latest information. Dembélé and Kolo Muani would rather start on the bench, in favor of Marco Asensio and Kang-In Lee. The Spaniard has scored points since the start of the season and still seems to have a small head start while waiting for Ramos to return from injury. The former Real Madrid player would line up at the forefront, supported by the South Korean on the right, and the sensation Barcola on the left. Stade Brestois has been warned, it will be, whatever happens, a big challenge against them tonight at the Parc des Princes. And Pierre Lees-Melou has still not returned to the competition.

Eric Roy should once again favor a 4-3-3. This formula had allowed him to annoy the Parisians last season. The Bretons even went to get a very good draw last January (2-2). Bizot will of course be a starter, protected by a defense composed of Lala and Haïdara on the flanks. This would be the first for the former Lens player in his new colors. In central defense, we will find captain Chardonnet, accompanied this time by Coulibaly, for what would be his first start. In midfield, the man in form of this team, Camara, would start with Fernandes, who has never appeared before, and Magnetti at his side. Up front, we would find the same trio that shone against Saint-Etienne two weeks ago, during the first and only victory of the season. Del Castillo on the right and Sima on the left would support Ajorque up front.
