PSG-Brest, the pre-match

It is already as leader of Ligue 1 that Paris Saint-Germain welcomes the Breton club in the middle of September. The two teams have the opportunity to test themselves, a few days before starting the new formula of the Champions League, respectively Wednesday against Girona and Thursday against Sturm Graz.

“We are preparing for the match based on what Brest has done since the start of this season, warned Luis Enrique in a press conference. We also analyse what they did last season against us. We had big difficulties against them. We expect the same difficulty. They are a team that knows very well how to play, that has a Champions League level because they earned this right last season. It will be a difficult and contested match, that’s for sure, like every time against Brest.

For this match, the Spanish coach could give Safonov a chance in goal. Indeed, Donnarumma was absent from training on Friday due to the birth of his son. The former coach of La Roja will however have to do without the services of Vitinha and Zaire-Emery, both injured in selection during the international break.

In the opposing camp, Eric Roy will not be able to count on Locko, Faivre and Lees-Melou, all in the infirmary. Brest started the season very badly with two consecutive defeats, against OM (5-1) then Lens (2-0) before recovering with a victory against Saint-Étienne (4-0).

PSG-Brest, the probable line-ups

Paris SG : Safonov – Hakimi, Pacho, Beraldo, Nuno Mendes – Neves, Ruiz, Doué – Lee, Asensio, Barcola.

Brest : Bizot – Lala, Chardonnet, Coulibaly, Haïdara – Camara, Fernandes, Magnetti – Del Castillo, Ajorque, Sima.
