In the dispute with Paris Saint-Germain, Kylian Mbappé has just won a battle.

First victory for Kylian Mbappé. In his fight against his former club PSG, the LFP legal committee delivered its verdict this Thursday. It orders “theParis Saint-Germain to proceed within eight days with the payment of the salary elements due to Kylian Mbappé Lottin, namely the salaries and ethics bonuses due for the months of April, May and June 2024, as well as the due date of the signing bonus due on February 29, 2024.
A total of 55 million euros.

The new Real Madrid striker had seized the LFP legal committee, which met on Wednesday in the presence of both parties, to claim his unpaid salaries and bonuses from PSG. The committee had initially recommended mediation, but this was refused by Kylian Mbappé and his entourage.

PSG refuses to pay

After acknowledging the verdict of the LFP legal committee, PSG informed AFP that it will not pay and that it is now up to Mbappé to refer the matter to the industrial tribunal if he wants to obtain these 55 million euros. A new legal battle is therefore looming.

“As such, and given the limits of the Commission’s legal scope to make a full decision on this matter, the case must now be contested before another jurisdiction, to which Paris Saint-Germain will be pleased to present all the facts over the coming months and year,” the capital club said in a statement, adding: ” In law and in fact, the player has made clear and repeated public and private commitments that must be respected, having enjoyed unprecedented benefits from the Club during 7 years in Paris. The Club looks forward to these commitments being confirmed in due course in the appropriate forum, should the player seek to pursue this inevitably reputational matter.
