Franck Ribéry has taken a new step towards his reconversion as a coach.

Retired since October 2022, after a brief stint at US Salernitana, the former French striker never intended to turn his back on football.

Eager to embark on a coaching career, the former Bayern Munich star had undertaken to obtain his diplomas. This Thursday, the Italian Football Federation announced that the former number 7 of the Blues has obtained his UEFA A license.

Another step to take for Ribéry

With this qualification, Ribéry is now entitled to “manage all youth teams (including the Primavera, the Italian U19 championship), all women’s teams and the first men’s teams up to and including Serie C.”

The next step for “Kaiser Franck” will be to obtain the UEFA Pro license, the last level of the coaching pathway. With this diploma in his pocket, the Boulogne player will be able to take the reins of a professional first division team in the championship of his choice.
