It’s the shock of Group 3 (League A) in the Nations League. On Tuesday evening, the Netherlands welcome Germany to the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam. After Tijani Reijnders opened the scoring early for the home side in the second minute, the German equaliser came at the end of the first half with a cannonball fired down the middle by Deniz Undav (38th).
It all started with a bad recovery of the Orange. Intercepted at the edge of the area, the ball was shifted to the right side for a first German shot blocked. But the ball came back to Undav who did not ask any questions and unleashed a half-volley shot from the left which came to clean the bottom of the opposing crossbar.
Kimmich scorer
A logical equaliser which put Germany back on track, especially since a few minutes later, the Mannschaft took the lead for the first time in the match with Joshua Kimmich’s goal scored just moments before the break (1-2, 45th+3).
This duel between two heavyweights of European football is, for the moment, living up to all its promises.
