Palmeiras defender Vitor Reis (18) is considered the best young central defender in South America and is in the sights of Real Madrid’s chief scout, Juni Calafat.
The 18-year-old recently spoke about his future, saying he was in no rush to join Europe. “Our desire is still to play in Europe, but my head is 100% in Palmeiras, I’m not thinking about anything else,” he said.
Real Madrid will have to pay 100 million euros
Despite the player’s denial, Spanish media outlet Okdiario claims that agents acting on behalf of the player have invited Real Madrid to make an offer for the young teenager. Reis’ contract runs until 2028 and includes a buyout clause of 100 million euros.
Currently, Real already have four Brazilian players in their squad. Eder Militao, Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo were joined this summer by youngster Endrick.
