Vitor Roque has criticised his home club FC Barcelona after leaving on loan to join Real Betis.

Roque’s forgettable stint with the Catalan giants ended after just eight months when he left the club on loan for Real Betis. The player will spend the 2024/25 season at Betis, who also have the option of a second year and a permanent transfer. The Brazilian will now look to get his career back on track in new surroundings.

Before starting a new journey with the Green and Whites, Roque was called up to the Brazil Under-20 squad where he recently scored twice in a 3-2 win over Mexico in a friendly clash. After the game, the forward opened up about his time at Barcelona, taking a dig at the club.

Roque takes revenge on Barça

I hadn’t laughed for six or seven months, said the 19-year-old on Sportv channel. I thanked all the members of the Brazilian team who were there during the week that I was able to live. It was a short period, but I enjoyed it, I joked and I had fun, which is the most important thing… and when the match came, the goals came.

The youngster will now hope to make his Real Betis debut this week, when the club take on Leganes in La Liga on Friday night.
