Like all the other big European clubs, Paris Saint-Germain saw a large part of its squad take the plane to join international selections during this September break. Twenty players from the pro group of the capital club are thus with international selections, A for hopefuls. And as often, this famous FIFA virus hit the PSG troops hard.

Désiré Doué, for example, injured his ankle against Slovenia with the U21s at the end of last week. While the news is reassuring for the youngster trained in Rennes, who should be available for the duel against Brest when they return from the break, PSG is still in the dark about Vitinha. The Portuguese player also has an ankle injury and is out of his national team’s match against Scotland, having been replaced at the end of the match against Croatia.

Weight loss

Warren Zaire-Emery is suffering from a calf injury contracted during the Blues’ duel against Italy and will not be available for the clash against Belgium. “This Saturday, he underwent X-rays which confirmed the muscle injury. After speaking with Dr. Franck Le Gall, Didier Deschamps confirmed Warren Zaïre-Emery’s withdrawal.”the FFF indicated in a press release published on its website. And Paris Saint-Germain is thus not the only club affected by these injury problems during the break.

Real Madrid lost Éder Militão and Aurélien Tchouameni during this international window, leaving Carlo Ancelotti with a decimated squad, since other players such as Ferland Mendy, Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga and David Alaba were already injured. For their part, FC Barcelona saw how Dani Olmo and Fermin Lopez were injured during the Spanish national team’s training sessions. A headache for the coaches who are already complaining about an overloaded schedule…
