Former AC Milan striker Jean-Pierre Papin believes fans must be patient with current Rossonerri coach Paulo Fonseca.
Milan have had a very disappointing start to the season under their new Portuguese coach. In three matches, the Lombards have still not won. Enough to make the fans worry.
Papin supports Paulo Fonseca
Interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, JPP considered that it was better to be patient: “They have a strong and complete team thanks to the purchases made in the market. And then there is Fonseca, a good coach that I know well. We must give him time. He plays attacking football, but also defensive compactness.”
The 1991 Ballon d’Or winner then admitted that he had really enjoyed watching Milan in recent seasons: “It’s a balanced team that, for two years, has achieved excellent results and has helped the players progress.”
