A month after winning the silver medal at the Paris Olympics, Thierry Henry returned to the Parc de Princes to watch Didier Deschamps’ French team take on Italy on Friday in the Nations League.

Michael Olise in the starting line-up for his first call-up to the A team, Manu Koné on the bench and Loïc Badé in the stands (victim of a muscle injury and out for the rest of the gathering). Thierry Henry came to see his former players from the French Olympic team in the same Parc des Princes that saw the Bleuets lose the final of the Paris 2024 Olympic football tournament against Spain a month ago.

“Titi” was present in the PSG den for the first meeting of Didier Deschamps’ Blues in the group stage of the League of Nations against Italy, Friday. The 98 world champion, back from vacation in Guadeloupe (with Lilian Thuram on August 15), was accompanied by the rapper Kalash (of Martinican origin like his mother) in the VIP stand of the Parc.

Thierry Henry waiting

As a reminder, following the silver medal won at the Games, Henry resigned as coach of the Under-21s (replaced by his former assistant Gérald Baticle). The Arsenal legend will be enjoying life and his children in London in the coming months, probably while resuming his role as CBS’ star pundit during Champions League nights (alongside Micah Richards, Jamie Carragher and presenter Kate Abdo).

Thierry Henry will certainly be a coach mentioned in the next coaching sackings among the big European clubs. His next challenge on the bench is highly anticipated.
