A connection problem deprived TF1 of commentary by Grégoire Margotton and Bixente Lizarazu for about five minutes. Time for Italy to score…

A small incident occurred during the broadcast of France-Italy, the first day of the Nations League. TF1 viewers were deprived of the commentary of the usual duo formed by Grégoire Margotton and Bixente Lizarazu.

Shortly before the half-hour mark, a connection problem with the Parc des Princes was mentioned by the channel, whose offices are located not far from there in Boulogne-Billancourt. In such cases, a “back-up” commentator is supposed to intervene from the control room, and that is what happened with Christophe Bureau, who took over after a few moments.

The connection problem lasted about five minutes, the time for Italy to equalize against Les Bleus. This is how Christophe Bureau commented on the magnificent goal by Federico Dimarco, who placed a magnificent volley from the outside of his left foot after a one-two with Sandro Tonali.
