The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder was injured with Portugal against Croatia on Thursday evening, in a match counting for the first day of the Nations League (2-1). Coming off during the game, Vitinha left his training camp to return to France for treatment.
The Portuguese Federation communicates on Vitinha
In an official statement released this Friday, the Portuguese Football Federation provided an update on Vitinha’s situation. The midfielder has already left the national team. International Vitinha was declared unfit for the next match of the national team by the Health and Performance Cell of the FPF and has therefore been exempted” , can we read.
Vitinha is therefore out of his team’s second match against Scotland, scheduled for Sunday. ” The player suffered an injury before the end of the match against Croatia and left the squad on Friday morning, meaning he will not take part in the second round of the Nations League.”
