Martial, who left Manchester United in the summer after his contract expired at the end of the 2023-24 season, remains a free agent.
With the summer transfer window still open, the forward was linked with two Champions League clubs, with Atalanta and Lille reportedly showing interest in the French forward, but neither deal came to fruition.
Martial far from Lille
SPORT24 now reports that Greek Super League giants AEK Athens have approached the ex-United star with an offer that would make him the highest-paid player in the club’s history. The offer is said to be higher than what former Spurs player Erik Lamela currently earns at the club, which is €2 million.
However, the outlet also claims that Martial might not be tempted to join the Greek league at the age of 28 as he could wait for offers from Europe’s top five leagues.
