Paris Saint-Germain won in Lille this Sunday, on Matchday 3 of Ligue 1 (3-1).

LOSC fans certainly had a little apprehension before this clash against the
Paris Saint-Germainbecause the two clear victories of the capital club, in Le Havre (4-1) and against Montpellier (6-0), could awaken a bitter memory of the end of summer, when Mbappé, Neymar, Messi and the whole clique came to stick 7 pawns to their protégés, two seasons ago.

Much water has flowed under the bridge since then, and Paris has changed its software. Not its offensive strike force. In an animation focused on the collective, Luis Enrique’s team continues to wreak havoc this season. This duel at the top against Lille was therefore a real test since it pitted the best attack against the most hermetic defense of this start of the season. And it was the Parisians who took the upper hand in this encounter.

PSG sends a strong signal

LOSC had an important match in their legs, with this ultimately salutary setback in the Prague trap against Sparta to validate their place in the Champions League, a few days earlier. After this energy left, both physically and emotionally, Bruno Genesio’s men did not find the resources to resist this PSG. Sure of their strength, the French champions found the opening shortly after the half-hour mark. Ousmane Dembélé won a penalty converted with serenity by Vitinha (0-1, 33rd).

Already very lively, Bradley Barcola then left his signature, once again, after a superb one-two with Asensio and a clinical finish for the break goal (0-2, 36th). Without this highlight, Paris could have faltered under the battering rams of the disconcerting Zhegrova, but LOSC lacked realism in its good periods to hope for another scenario. PSG, who did not ask for so much, then managed their lead. Zhegrova revived hope for the Dogues with a winning shot (1-2, 78th), but the duo Doué-Kolo Muani, launched for the end of the match, settled the score in stoppage time, with a precise cross from the former for the header of the latter (1-3, 90th+1). Boss size, the champion sends a strong signal.
