Victor Osimhen has been in the news for the entire summer transfer window. The Nigerian international, who has become unwanted at Napoli, was reportedly in the sights of Paris Saint-Germain and Naples. In recent days, he seemed on the verge of joining Saudi Arabia.
Finally, the former Lille player should be loaned to Galatasaray, according to several Italian media, including the Sports Gazette. Negotiations are currently underway between the leaders of the Italian club and their Turkish counterparts. The different parties have already agreed on a dry loan for one season. The Istanbul team should cover the entire salary of Osimhen, who earns ten million euros per year.
Osimhen had no future in Naples
Antonio Conte, the Napoli coach, no longer counted on the latter, especially after the recruitment of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku. Victor Osimhen, under contract until June 2026, was not even among the players eligible to play in Serie A chaired by the team chaired by Aurelio De Laurentiis.
While the 2024 summer transfer window closed its doors last Friday at 11 p.m., it will continue in Turkey until September 13. That is, four days after the closing date in Qatar, on the 9th of the same month.
