It’s a big disaster for Hamari Traoré. Coming off injured in the 66th minute of the match between Getafe and Real Sociedad, the results have just come in for the former Stade Rennais captain. The Malian full-back has just suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament in his right knee. His absence could cause a lot of harm to the San Sebastian team, which has lost one of its leaders.

The 32-year-old defender, who was landed for free last summer, had established himself as a potential starter at the Basque club. It is also heartbreaking for the player who, in addition to his injury, was looking forward to reuniting with his former teammate Nayef Aguerd, who was landed in the final hours of the transfer window at Real Sociedad. The reunion on the pitch between the two ex-Rennais will therefore have to wait a little longer.
