Erik Ten Hag defended himself by explaining that he was not Harry Potter and that he could not fix everything by magic. The Daily Star took up this phrase and took the opportunity to make fun of him, calling him a simple “Muggle” on its front page, in reference to the Harry Potter universe.
Laporta’s assessment of the transfer window
Sport has decided to dedicate its front page and several pages to take stock of all the transfers made by the club since Joan Laporta returned to the presidency. The first notable element is that there were 29 signings in four transfer windows. Of these 29 signings, only a third are still part of the current team. Over these four seasons, Laporta has spent €310 million and sold for €214 million. Despite the club’s difficulties, the Catalan president has managed to make as many moves by activating the famous economic levers. The Frenchman scores an average of one goal every 61 minutes, and he is the one who has been carrying his team since the start of the season. The newspaper explains his metamorphosis in finishing. Thuram would work particularly with the staff in front of goal. The striker also touches the ball more in the opponent’s area, and shoots more times on average than last year. Good news for the Blues and Inter, hoping that it lasts for Thuram.
