First setback this season for Arsenal. After two early wins 2-0 against Wolverhampton and on the pitch at Aston Villa, the Gunners conceded a draw against Brighton (1-1) at the Emirates Stadium. Declan Rice’s sending off (49th, second booking) just after the break had serious consequences for Arteta’s protégés, who were leading at the break thanks to Kai Havertz (38th).

Boosted by this numerical superiority, the Seagulls quickly equalized through João Pedro (58th) and could have turned this match in their favor at the end. Arsenal also had the chances to win but their mastery of the elements was generally too weak. After three days, and one more match played on the other teams, the two clubs occupy the first two places in the ranking.
