A few hours before the end of the transfer market, Marseille welcomed a new reinforcement.

And one more transfer to OM. Forced to replace Faris Moumbagna, who suffered a serious injury during the off-season, the Marseille leaders went looking for an additional attacker. Their choice fell on Neal Maupay, the French player from Everton.

The arrival of the former Nice player was made official this Friday. It is a one-season loan, with a purchase option of around 4 million euros. This is the 11e summer acquisition of OM.

Maupay must be happy to be back in Ligue 1. He who was in difficulty at Goodison Park. He had even alienated the Toffees supporters through provocations on social networks.

Yet another reinforcement hoped for

Maupay might not be the last Olympian recruit. OM is still looking for a full-back. After targeting the French international hopeful Kilian Sidilla, it is interested in Rennes player Lorenz Assignon. The latter could arrive at the Vélodrome as part of an exchange with Jordan Veretout.
