Before committing to Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappé resisted two particularly attractive approaches.

Kylian Mbappé has refused an exorbitant sum in order to fulfil his dream of playing for Real Madrid, we learned this Wednesday from the Spanish press.

Mbappe left PSG for Real Madrid in the summer, but not before the Parisians offered him a five-year, €500 million contract – after tax. The deal offered by PSG was worth four times more than what the Bondy player eventually accepted from Real. The offer also included a lucrative lifetime contract as Qatar’s ambassador, but Mbappe did not pursue it.

The Saudi Pro League also received the same response when it came with an offer of one billion euros for five seasons. Instead, Mbappe chose to join Real, where, despite the perception outside, the Frenchman has “impressed staff and teammates with his humility and professionalism.”

Mbappe has yet to open his goal account for Real after the first two games of the season. He will be out again on Thursday night against Las Palmas.
