Under contract with Bayern Munich until June 2027, Kingsley Coman understood that the Bavarian club wanted to sell him. The Frenchman agreed on Wednesday to join Al-Hilal.

He is only twenty-eight years old and yet, Kingsley Coman is about to leave one of the biggest clubs in Europe to try his luck in the Saudi Pro League. A Bayern Munich player since 2017, the French attacking midfielder still had two years of contract with the Bavarian club. But the latter having made it clear to him that they wanted to sell him, even reaching an agreement in recent days with Al-Hilal, Kingsley Coman has visibly complied with their choice. The Frenchman has agreed to go to Saudi Arabia.

The information was revealed on Wednesday by The Team. The sports site confirmed that the former Paris Saint-Germain player had agreed to join the team in which Neymar has been playing since the summer of 2023. However, nothing is final yet and discussions will continue to try to agree on a few final details. Kingsley Coman has in any case confirmed to his current club that he has agreed to pack his bags.

Supporters are in despair

While waiting for a possible announcement from one side or the other to make the transfer official, there is nothing to say that another option could not present itself at the last minute. But the departure of the Frenchman to the Saudi Pro League seems more than ever on track. This choice is in any case already causing a huge reaction, and on social networks, Internet users are openly lamenting this future move. Many of them believe that Coman is much too young to leave the very top level and go to a lesser championship.

If the Paris native signs with Al-Hilal, it will certainly be a new big draw for Saudi Arabia, which is continuing its market and is not hesitating to pay the price in order to attract the big names that were then the joy of the European championships. It remains to wait for confirmation of Coman’s departure, and then see how long he will stay in the Saudi Pro League.
