It’s confirmed: OM will be spectacular this season. After having beaten Brest in the inaugural round (1-5), the Marseille team made its return to the Vélodrome this Sunday to close the second act of the championship. With a spirited, intense match at the end, but unfortunately no victory for the 65,000 spectators present for the occasion in the stands of the Boulevard Michelet stadium.
However, the Olympians were able to take control of the game, according to the precepts of their coach Roberto De Zerbi, with the 25th minutee minute a textbook action perfectly concluded by Amine Harit. An advantage which could (should?) have been doubled before the break by a very clumsy Elye Wahi in front of the opposing goal.
Greenwood scores again

Released under the whistles of the Vélodrome at the 67e minute, Elye Wahi then gave way to a Jonathan Rowe who was rather at his best for his debut. And OM still obtained a meritorious draw (2-2) thanks to its new offensive star, Mason Greenwood, already a double scorer last week (71e). A result which leaves Marseille in fifth place, two lengths behind a leading quartet made up of PSG, Lille, Monaco and Lens.
