James Rodriguez, the big comeback

Voted best player of the Copa America this summer, James Rodriguez is making his return to a major European championship. The Colombian number 10 has signed with Rayo Vallecano.

It’s a return that will please fans of old-school No. 10s. After playing in Greece and Brazil for the last two seasons, James Rodriguez will return to the Liga pitches. The 33-year-old Colombian signed a one-year contract with Rayo Vallecano on Monday.

The former AS Monaco and Real Madrid player was voted best player of the Copa Americain last July, after his national team’s defeat in the final against Argentina. He had distributed no less than six assists during this tournament.
