This summer, FC Barcelona is in a delicate position. Apart from the arrival of Dani Olmo, the Catalan club is not going through an easy transfer window with several financial setbacks. On the pitch, the Blaugranas are nevertheless having a successful start to the season. Victorious in Valencia last week, Hansi Flick’s men managed to escape the Bilbao trap unscathed this Saturday (2-1). On the pitch, one player shines: Marc Bernal. A regular in midfield since the start of this vintage, the 17-year-old is stealing the show and has surely secured a place in the German coach’s rotation for the rest of the year.

Obviously, with such a gem in their squad, the Catalan leaders aspire to keep him for as long as possible. Thus, World Sports informs us that Barça has a smart plan to push back his suitors as much as possible. Still a minor, he signed a contract this summer that binds him to the club until 2026. With a release clause of 20 million euros, the latter would then be scalable. According to the Iberian media, five million more will be added for the first five matches, another five (30) for the next ten and another five (35) for the next fifteen, with matches lasting a minimum of 45 minutes.
