OM may have already let slip two points that could be important at the end of the season. The coach of the Marseille club expressed his frustration after his team’s draw.

Olympique de Marseille missed its debut at the Orange VélodromeSunday evening in the closing match of the second day of Ligue 1. While it seemed to be in control of the debate, the Marseille club experienced a big “air pocket” against the Stade de Reims.

Roberto De Zerbi did not hide his frustration at the end of the match. “We’re disappointed and angry because of the result. We would have liked to give the fans three points. We gave it our all, but it wasn’t enough because we only played 70 minutes. We had a blackout at the start of the second half, I don’t know why. I’m disappointed because with our chances and the few we conceded, we should have six points in the standings,” said the Italian technician in a press conference.

De Zerbi intends to change mentalities

The former Brighton coach took the opportunity to recall the current context at OM. “Everything has changed since last season, the coach and many players. So we must not take the problems of last season with us. The mentality must change quickly. The right mentality, we must not have it only for 70 minutes,” he hammered.

With four points, OM occupies fifth place in the Ligue 1 standings, ahead of four teams who have all won their first two matches. Saturday, Leonardo Balerdi and his teammates will travel to Toulouse on the third day, just before the international break.
