In search of his first points this season, the Reims Stadium tackles a small mountain with a perilous trip to Marseille, this Sunday evening, at the end of the 2nd day of Ligue 1 (kick-off at 8:45 p.m.).
” It’s an extremely interesting team, especially with the arrival of a new coach and some new recruits, warned Luka Elsner. The fact that they managed to quickly set up their game, as their coach wanted, is relatively impressive. Against Brest, everything went as they wanted, which gave a really clean performance. So they are a very well-constructed team, with clear ideas about what they want to achieve. We will need a lot of courage and generosity to prevent them from implementing their game plan.” .
A big absence for Reims
With which starting eleven? Elsner has to deal with a multitude of important absences. Koné is suspended, while Daramy is on the sidelines. But the most damaging absence is certainly that of captain and playmaker Teuma.
Reims should rely on their Japanese internationals Ito and Nakamura to try to create danger on the Marseille goal. Ahbadou will inherit the armband in the absence of Teuma. Diouf will take his place in the Champagne goal.
The expected line-up for Reims : Diouf – Okumu, Agbadou (c), Kipré – Khadra, Atangana, Munetsi, Akieme – Ito, Diakité, Nakamura.
