OM and OGC Nice are said to have targeted the same striker in this final stretch of the transfer window.

With one year left on his contract with Everton, Neal Maupay could well return to the French elite, seven years after leaving Saint-Etienne.

OM are tracking the 28-year-old French striker to compensate for the long-term absence of Faris Moumbagna and thus offer a replacement for Elye Wahi. A design that is also that of the Gym, the Aiglons for their part being faced with the injuries of Terem Moffi, Jérémie Boga and Gaëtan Laborde in the offensive sector.

Ben Yedder and Depay cited

According to RMC, the player trained in Nice would be a possible choice for Franck Haise, while other big names are mentioned to strengthen the Côte d’Azur lines, including Yusuf Yazici, Wissam Ben Yedder or Memphis Depay.

Like Marseille, however, Nice would prefer the option of a loan with an option to buy. Which is hardly in the Toffees’ interests for an element whose lease expires in June 2025.
