17 years after his arrival at FC Barcelona, Sergi Roberto (32 years old) will have his first experience outside of Spain. As expected in recent days, the Spanish international (11 caps, 1 goal) has signed with the promoted Serie A team, Como. He will notably meet Cesc Fàbregas, now the club’s coach.
“Como 1907 are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Sergio Roberto on a two-year contract. The former FC Barcelona captain, who joined the club at the age of 14 and went on to win seven La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues, joins the club as a free agent.”says the Como press release. Earlier this summer, the Italian club had already registered the arrivals of Raphael Varane, Andrea Belotti, Alberto Dossena and Alberto Moreno, among others.
