For his first trip of the season, the
Montpellier HSC inherits a big chunk since Michel Der Zakarian’s men will challenge the great Paris Saint-Germain. Despite the departure of Kylian Mbappé, Michel Der Zakarian does not see the reigning champion as less competitive.
“I saw them last week and they still had rockets when they brought Barcola and Dembélé in on the other side so that triggered a lot of things, explained the technician. They have speed, technical quality in midfield, they have what it takes. They have what it takes to be champions again. (…) I think they are going to be very, very strong. In any case, the transfer window is not over and then I think that collectively they are going to be strong.“.
Savanier as the eternal conductor
For this perilous match, Der Zakarian will be without Jullien, Sainte-Luce, Mincarelli, Sylla and Fayad, all in the infirmary. The coach will nevertheless be able to count on his strength to try to pull off a coup at the Parc des Princes.
Adams and Nordin will be responsible for dynamiting the attack on counter-attacks, while playmaker Savanier is expected in midfield alongside Olympic vice-champion Chotard and former Lyon player Ferri. Lecomte will take his place in the Montpellier goals.
The expected line-up for Montpellier : Lecomte – Tchato, Omeragic, Sagnan, Sacko – Ferri, Chotard, Savanier (c) – Nordin, Al-Tamari, Adams.
