PSG-MHSC: probable lineups

An inaugural 4-1 success, a little slow in coming, against Le Havre, and here is PSG which has ideally launched its 2024-2025 season, particularly watched after the departure of Kylian Mbappe. The Ile-de-France club will want to offer a good performance in front of its public at the Parc des Princes, for the opening of the 2nd day, with the reception of Montpellier. For this, Luis Enrique will be able to count on his latest recruit to date, Désiré Doué, incorporated into the Parisian group. The 4 summer recruits (Safonov, Pacho, João Neves and Doué) were selected by the Spanish coach.

This is not the case for Danilo, Carlos Soler, Manuel Ugarte, Nordi Mukiele and Milan Skriniar, who are nevertheless fit for duty. The first four are rather concerned by a departure, relatively imminent. For the last one on the other hand, it is a little surprise, since he had been taken in the group against Le Havre. The signal does not seem good for the Slovakian defender, who has visibly not convinced his coach… The latter will in any case be able to build a solid defense, despite the absences of Lucas Hernandez and Presnel Kimpembe, with Donnarumma in goal, Hakimi on the right, a Marquinhos-Pacho hinge and Beraldo to help out on the left.

Kolo Muani or Asensio?

In midfield, Luis Enrique has several options, and he could be tempted to line up a Vitinha-Zaire-Emery-João Neves midfield for the first time. Knowing that Fabian Ruiz has returned to service and will be on the bench, and that Kang-In Lee can integrate this sector. Up front, there is some doubt about the identity of the central striker. Gonçalo Ramos is unavailable for 3 months, which leaves a golden opportunity for Randal Kolo Muani to settle in. But the possibility of seeing Marco Asensio start as a false 9 exists. On the wings, we should see the two potential starters: Bradley Barcola on the left and Ousmane Dembélé on the right.

On the Montpellier side, the classic with Lecomte in goal, an Omeragic-Sagnan hinge (Christopher Jullien is injured for many months). Tchato will occupy the left flank, Falaye Sacko the right side. The usual midfield is also present with the Chotard-Ferri-Savanier trio. Finally, offensively, Michel Der Zakarian’s MHSC offers an interesting trident with Nordin, Al-Tamari and Adams.
