If João Cancelo moves away from FC Barcelona, another full-back is getting closer to the Catalan club. According to SportBarça are set to sign Marc Pubill, right-back from Almería. The 21-year-old, who is keen to move to Catalonia, will arrive on a loan deal worth €5 million with an option to buy estimated at €12 million. Although Almeria want a permanent transfer, the operation is moving in the right direction. Pubill won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics with Spain. He has played in five of the six games of the Red and scored a goal.

Having arrived from Levante in 2023 for five million euros, Pubill will allow his former club to receive 25% of the purchase option if it is exercised. The Spanish U21 international has played 24 games for a total of one goal and three assists with Almería. The Andalusian club finished 19th in La Liga last season and is currently playing in the second division. According to the Iberian media, it is not excluded that his arrival will push Héctor Fort towards the exit.
