Lille host Slavia Prague in the first leg of the Champions League play-off on Tuesday (9pm). Here is the expected line-up for LOSC.

After a successful debut in Ligue 1 and a perfectly negotiated round against José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe, Lille will try to get rid of Slavia Prague to secure its ticket to the prestigious Champions League. A double confrontation that has all the makings of a trap for LOSC.

Bruno Genesio will still have to deal with many absences for this first leg play-off. The coach of the northern club will notably have to do without Umtiti, Fernandes, Bentaleb, Zedadka and Mandi, the latter being suspended following his expulsion in the previous round.

LOSC must replace Angel Gomes in midfield

The most damaging absence for LOSC is obviously that of Angel Gomes. Victim of a violent shock to the head, the midfielder gave reassuring news on his physical condition. But the question mark for this eleven lies in the identity of his replacement.

Mukau should accompany captain André in midfield, while Tiago Santos and Gudmundsson are expected to play as pistons in this 3-4-3 formation. The trio Meunier-Diakité-Alexsandro holds the road in defense, while Zhgrova, David and Haraldsson are expected to start at the front.

The expected line-up for Lille: Chevalier – Meunier, Diakité, Alexsandro – Tiago Santos, André (c), Mukau, Gudmundsson – Zhegrova, David, Haraldsson.
