It was the surprise of the chef in this Parisian starting 11 for the first day of Ligue 1 against HAC (4-1 victory for PSG). This Friday evening, on the pitch of the Stade Océane, the Parisian kid Ibrahim Mbaye took his first steps in the championship in the red and blue jersey.

A first start on the left flank of the capital club’s attack which allows him to break a record. The 16-year-old player has become the youngest starter in the history of the Red and Blue at the age of 16 years, 6 months and 23 days, ahead of a certain Warren Zaïre-Emery (16 years, 9 months, 29 days).

Mbaye satisfied with his first steps

Ibrahim Mbaye is over the moon. The Parisian kid was given a starting role by Luis Enrique this Friday evening as part of the first day of Ligue 1. Although he came off as soon as he returned from the locker room and was replaced by Joao Neves, the young Parisian did not hide his joy after the match.

“I’m making history at the club. It’s incrediblesaid Ibrahim Mbaye after the meeting. You have to work to get to that level. It’s different from usual, it’s a different level than with the U17s or the U19s. It’s really something big. There’s a huge intensity, it’s something else,” he said into the microphone PSG TV.
