Aston Villa started their Premier League season this Saturday with an interesting match against West Ham. The opportunity for Unai Emery to have certainties and reassure himself against a West Ham team that had a rather interesting transfer window. It was the Villans who opened the scoring through new signing Amadou Onana before Lucas Paqueta, a regular starter, equalised with a penalty late in the first half. But Aston Villa did not give up and ended up scoring a second goal in the second half. Youngster Jhon Duran scored the winning goal to give his team all three points.
