September will see Jürgen Klopp make his big comeback on the Borussia Dortmund bench. On the occasion of a farewell match organized in honor of his former players Jakub Blaszczykowski and Lukasz Piszczek, the German coach will return to the Ruhr on September 7.

Beyond the two former Polish internationals, Klopp will be reunited with several of his former protégés, including Sebastian Kehl, Nuri Sahin, and Roman Weidenfeller. To mark the occasion, Borussia Dortmund have shared on Xformerly
Twittera humorous video where we see the former Liverpool coach alongside the ex-Dortmunders, talking about his return for this tribute match.

A golden period in BVB history

As a reminder, under Klopp’s leadership, BVB has had some glorious years. It notably won two German championship titles in 2011 and 2012, a German Cup in 2012, as well as two German Super Cups in 2013 and 2014.

The Stuttgart coach also came close to winning the European title with the Iduna Park team in the 2012-2013 season. Unfortunately, his team lost the Champions League final to Bayern Munich, with a score of 2-1.
