Manchester City in conflict with the Premier League

The “trial of the century” will begin on September 16 for Manchester City. Accused of 115 violations of the Premier League regulations as well as those of UEFA over the last 14 seasons, the English club risks a lot. According to ESPNthe trial is expected to last several months and several breaches of the financial fair play implemented by UEFA have reportedly been noted.

The charges against the Citizens include 54 counts of failing to provide accurate information, 35 counts of failing to cooperate with Premier League investigations, 14 counts of failing to provide accurate details of player and manager payments, seven counts of breaching Premier League profit and sustainability rules, and five counts of breaching UEFA regulations. If convicted, the Manchester club could face sanctions up to and including relegation.
