Olympique de Marseille is pursuing an ambitious transfer window this summer, despite its absence from the European Cup. Marseille president Pablo Longoria and his teams have thus recorded the arrival of 9 reinforcements.
Among these recruits, there are 5 transfers: Mason Greenwood, Ismaël Koné, Bamo Meïté, Gerónimo Rulli, and Derek Cornelius. Added to this are the loans of Lilian Brassier, Valentín Carboni, and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg. The experienced Danish international also revealed how Longoria convinced him to join OM and what attracted him to the Ciel et Blanc sporting project.
“It’s difficult to say no to OM”
“During discussions with the management, I felt that everyone, from the president to the staff, had football in their blood. And that makes me happy, because I too think about football 24/7. If you want to have great ambitions, you have to work hard, but also think about football all the time.”the 2013 European champion confided to journalists.
“It’s hard to say no to people who are so involved in the club’s success. It’s hard to say no, when you know how the stadium gets fired up. It’s hard to say no to OM, when you love football like I do.”Højbjerg said.
