Yves Bissouma has just done himself a huge disservice. A video of the Tottenham midfielder inhaling laughing gas is currently going viral in England. Less than a week before the Premier League resumes, the Malian international (36 caps, 3 goals) filmed himself and shared a video on Snapchat where he can be seen consuming “balloons” after the defeat against Bayern in pre-season. A practice now illegal in England which exposes the Spurs player to legal proceedings.
Drunk, under the influence of nitrous oxide and in the back of a limousine at the time of the video, the former Lille player could also be heavily sanctioned by his club after this lapse. The midfielder then apologized, explaining that he had shown a “serious lack of judgment” at the time of the incident and that he recognized the health risks that this type of practice can cause. Tottenham has opened an internal investigation and Yves Bissouma could be sidelined for several weeks, if not longer…
