Barely arrived, already gone. Caleb Wiley will be joining Strasbourg on loan from Chelsea. The 19-year-old left-back has just joined the Blues for a 6-year deal for just over €10 million and according to SkySportshe will therefore join Alsace for a season before returning to England. Arriving from Atlanta United, Wiley is one of the great hopes of the American selection.
Present at the Paris Olympic Games with Team USA, the Atlanta native will therefore make his return to the French fields in the Racing jersey. Just like a certain Diego Moreira (20 years old), loaned to Olympique Lyonnais last season. According to The Teamthe Portuguese international hopeful would also be on the verge of joining the Alsatian club, nothing is however yet certain concerning the nature of the transaction. Thanks to the principle of multi-ownership, Strasbourg can boast, once again, of recovering some of Chelsea’s best hopes each summer. This was notably already the case last season with the Brazilians Ângelo and Andrey Santos.
