Erik Ten Hag will be on the Manchester United bench next season. Although his departure was mentioned at the end of last season, the Dutch coach, who avoided a blank season by winning the FA Cup against Manchester City (2-1), has long seemed close to being ousted.
Finally confirmed in his role as coach by the Manchester management, Ten Hag is preparing to begin his third season at the helm of the Red Devils. In an interview with the Times, Jim Ratcliffe, co-owner of MU, revealed the difficulties encountered by the Dutchman, while reaffirming his confidence in him.
Ten Hag’s Overzealousness
“Erik is a good guy and he did his best, but he was overdoing it, said the British businessman. He was trying to manage the crew and fix the roof leaks at the same time.”
Since arriving at Old Trafford in July 2022, Ten Hag has managed 115 games, with a record of 66 wins, 18 draws and 31 defeats.
