PSG is having a rather strange transfer window. Orphaned by Kylian Mbappé, the capital club has still not replaced the Bondy player and the loss of such a player, who admittedly had a complicated season, is never insignificant. Eliminated in the semi-finals of the Champions League last year, Luis Enrique’s gang will have to do better in a few months. And to do this, Paris Saint-Germain will have to shift into second gear on the transfer market. For the moment, only Matvey Safonov, João Neves and Willian Pacho have set down their suitcases in the capital.

Names that don’t sound like much, but which could turn out to be very good picks. While the Russian goalkeeper is not destined to be number 1 as long as Gianluigi Donnarumma is still there, the young Portuguese midfielder is one of the most promising in his position. From then on, doubts hung over the real qualities of the Ecuadorian defender, Willian Pacho. The latter, who recently arrived from Eintracht Frankfurt a few days ago, was a starter against RB Leipzig this Saturday. And the 22-year-old player answered the call.

Willian Pacho made everyone agree

Indeed, starting in central defence alongside Milan Skriniar, the native of Quininde showed great things. Solid, good at restarting and already authoritative in several duels, Pacho showed that he could be a real alternative for the Parisian rearguard this season. Often marking Loïs Openda, the Ecuadorian made a strong impression on the Belgian striker: ” He is very strong, very fast, hard on the man. He has the quality to break the lines, to dribble. I think he could be a very good signing for Paris. It was his first match, he has been here for two days and I think he has to get used to it, but it won’t take long. He is a good player who is technically strong and who knows what he has to do. He is very intelligent and will have no trouble establishing himself and finding his feet in this team. »

More measured, Willian Pacho did not hide his satisfaction after his first 63 successful minutes in the colours of PSG: ” I am very happy with my first match. Now, we have to continue working to improve every day. The staff explained to me how we play and what they expected of me. I felt comfortable for this first match. I am someone who likes to go into contact, but I also like to be a player and have the ball. And I like to put my aggression at the service of the team. I can play on both sides of the axis, that is no problem for me. » He will now have to make a successful debut in Ligue 1 next Friday against Le Havre (9 p.m.).
