Presnel Kimpembe’s situation at PSG has become more complicated with the recruitment of William Pacho. The player’s entourage is worried.

Another bad sign for Presnel Kimpembe. While he has been suffering from injuries and operations for the past year and a half, the Paris Saint-Germain defender seems to be drifting further and further away from the plans of Luis Enrique and the club itself. Last year, with the arrivals of Milan Skriniar and Lucas Hernandez, the Parisian had already felt the wind change. And even if his management assured him of its full support, even agreeing to a contract extension while he was once again under the knife, Kimpembe has just suffered yet another small blow with the recruitment of William Pacho.

Another central defender and another left-handed one, like him. Enough to potentially push him further down the hierarchy. According to Foot MercatoPresnel Kimpembe’s entourage has noted the similarities between the profile of the “titi” and William Pacho. The fact remains that for the moment, no official marketing has been announced concerning the French international whose personality remains appreciated by Luis Campos and the management of PSG in the broad sense.

Paris open to discussion

Now twenty-eight years old, Kimpembe is under contract with Paris until June 2026. According to the specialized media, despite all the sympathy that his leaders may have for him, the latter remain attentive to possible offers and would not close the door to discussions. For his part, the French defender continues to work to regain his level at the same time as the fields.

His double Achilles tendon operation, which has kept him off the pitch since February 2023, has however put a serious brake on his career. Presnel Kimpembe will have to redouble his efforts to find playing time in a now well-stocked Parisian central defence.
