For the last match of its preparation before the resumption of Ligue 1, OM won on Saturday in Germany against Augsburg.

A week before the resumption of Ligue 1, OM did not dent its confidence by winning Saturday at the WWK Arena in Augsburg, 3-1. On the occasion of this last match of summer preparation, Roberto de Zerbi’s team opened the scoring through Luis Henrique, taking advantage of a misunderstanding between two defenders of the German club (0-1, 19th).

The presence of the Brazilian winger in the starting eleven may come as a surprise, given the more than average performances he displayed last season. It seems that De Zerbi trusts him, probably constrained by the lack of vital forces in the attacking sector and while waiting for OM to recruit a center forward/scorer to succeed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who left for Saudi Arabia.

Mason Greenwood (21st) and Amine Harit, from the penalty spot (72nd), are the other scorers of the day for Marseille. Next Saturday, OM will play the first day of Ligue 1 on the Stade Brestois pitch.

OM, the composition

Ngapandouetnbu (De Lange, 68th) – Murillo (Lirola, 84th), Balerdi (cap), Brassier (Cornelius, 48th)Merlin – Højbjerg, Kondogbia (Meïté, 68th) – Greenwood (Abdallah, 84th), Harit (Ben Seghir, 87th), Henrique (Sternal, 68th) – Moumbagna.
