Antoine Griezmann, the good news

With the announced arrival of Julian Alvarez, Atlético Madrid’s attack is taking shape for next season. Antoine Griezmann will not complain about it.

This Liga season is looking tempting. European and Spanish champions, Real Madrid have added Endrick and Kylian Mbappé to their armada. FC Barcelona have just responded by bringing back Dani Olmo, one of the great architects of the victory at the Euro. And Atlético de Madrid are not far behind.

The Colchoneros are about to pull off a great coup by acquiring a world champion, Julian Alvarez, who wants to leave Manchester City. “He wants a new challenge”confirmed Pep Guardiola, who said he was ready to sell his player to Atlético.

Madrid will thus be able to line up a new-look attack next season. Alvaro Morata left for Milan, but a solid scorer like Alexander Sorloth came in to replace him. By adding Alvarez (who would numerically compensate for the departure of Memphis Depay), and of course Antoine Griezmann, the squad looks great.

Defender Robin Le Normand has arrived from Real Sociedad, and Conor Gallagher (Chelsea) will come to strengthen the midfield. For Diego Simeone, there will be enough to build a great team to, as often, try to tickle Real and Barça.
