Three weeks after the (late) resumption of training in Poissy, Luis Enrique’s men were out for a friendly match this Wednesday in Austria, for a first preparation match against Sturm Graz. For the occasion, PSG signed a 2-2 draw without much to learn. Although…
With Safonov in goal and a hybrid starting eleven with Ramos and Kolo Muani in attack; Soler, Lee and Asensio in midfield; the Parisians started the match well, with two goals quickly scored – the work of Mbaye (9e) and Soler (12e). Only Camara was quick to respond (15e) and the Austrians ended up equalizing logically at the end of the first period (2-2, 43e).
Beraldo goes out with injury
In the second act, Luis Enrique was able to launch the highly anticipated Neves and Moscardo into battle, in addition to Barcola, Zaire-Emery, Ndour and Kari. Unfortunately, the performance was insufficient – due to a physical deficit. Lacking in bearings and energy, the two young PSG recruits were unable to shine in the half hour they were given. So, watch again.
The next outing – and already the last for the Parisians in this preparation – is scheduled in three days against RB Leipzig. It will probably be without Beraldo, who had to leave prematurely due to injury after twisting his ankle. PSG will begin its Ligue 1 season in Le Havre on Friday, August 16.
The Parisian starting lineup against Graz: Safonov – Zague, El Hannach, Skriniar, Beraldo – Soler (cap), Kang-In Lee, Asensio – Mbaye, Ramos, Kolo Muani.
