With ten days to go until the start of the new Ligue 1 season, fans now know what to expect. DAZN, which will be the main broadcaster of L1 for the next five seasons, has indeed unveiled its subscription offers for the coming season on Thursday.
The British platform, which will broadcast eight matches each weekend, offers two packages. The first, which will allow access to all the content broadcast by the Netflix of sport, will cost €29.99 per month and will require an annual subscription. In addition to the eight Ligue 1 matches, this “Unlimited” offer will give access to the other rights acquired in recent months by DAZN, namely Betclic Elite, PFL, Bellator, Jupiler Pro League and the Women’s Football Champions League.
A subscription for 14.99 euros for a single match
Please note that this subscription will also give access to the ninth match broadcast on beIN Sports on a delayed basis (the one on Saturday at 5 p.m.).
The other offer proposed by DAZN will cost only 14.99 euros. But this low-cost formula, called “Super Sports” and which will also require an annual subscription for one year, will only allow you to watch one single match per day. And the subscriber will not be able to choose his match. It will necessarily be the match broadcast every Sunday at 5 p.m. Not sure that it will convince many subscribers.
For comparison, Amazon’s Ligue 1 pass cost just €14.99/month last season, on top of the initial €6.99 subscription.
