Bournemouth are far from finished with their summer transfer window. Less than two weeks after completing the arrival of Dean Huijsen, a young Juventus player long associated with Paris Saint-Germain, the English club are still looking to strengthen their rearguard before the Premier League resumes. With this in mind, Sky Sports informs us that the last 12th of the English championship has turned to Barça and has set his sights on Julián Araujo.
Blocked by competition at Barça, the 22-year-old defender joined Las Palmas last summer. Despite a successful loan spell with the club based in the Canaries (28 appearances in all competitions), the Mexican international is unlikely to stay in Catalonia for long. The English media outlet states that Bournemouth is in advanced discussions with FC Barcelona, who would welcome a transfer of the Mexican in order to reduce their wage bill and free up cash to continue their transfer window.
