Xavi Simons will return to RB Leipzig. The Dutch international (20 caps, 2 goals) has made his decision and should return to Saxony early next week, according to information from the newspaper The Parisiandespite strong interest from Bayern Munich. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is therefore expected to be loaned out to Leipzig again and remain a Paris Saint-Germain player, at least contractually, as Simons has stated his desire not to return to the French capital.
The player trained at La Masia was notably courted by Bayern Munich and Manchester United, who were ready to break the bank to secure his services. Despite this interest, Simons should finally make a return to conquered territory in the club where he scored 8 goals and 13 assists in 32 Bundesliga games this season. The Xavi Simons file should however once again shake up the market next summer, because his loan to Leipzig will once again be without an option to buy.
