Man City release Brazilian
English champions Manchester City have just loaned their Brazilian defender Yan Couto to Borussia Dortmund.

Blocked by strong competition from Manchester City’s squad, Yan Couto will leave the English champions to try to gain playing time. The 22-year-old Brazilian defender has been loaned for a season to Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga), with an option to buy, we learned on Saturday.

” Yan Couto was already on our radar even before he won the Under-17 World Cup with Brazil in 2019. He has the potential to become a very important player, with exceptional speed, technique and creativity.
” said Lars Ricken, the sporting director of the finalist of the last Champions League.

Yan Couto joined Manchester City in 2020 from Brazilian club Coritiba before being loaned to Sporting Braga (Portugal) and then to Girona (La Liga).
